Quickly find specific sources in your NotebookLM notebook with powerful filtering.

What It Does

The Source Search Bar appears in the source picker dialog. It filters your sources in real-time as you type, making it easy to find specific sources in large notebooks.

How to Use

  1. Open the source picker in NotebookLM
  2. Type in the search bar to filter sources
  3. Use the filter dropdown to filter by source type
  4. Sources update in real-time as you type
  5. Click "Save View" to save your current filter

Filter Options

  • All Sources - Show all sources
  • PDFs - Only PDF documents
  • Websites - Only web URLs
  • Google Docs - Only Google Docs sources
  • Text - Only pasted text sources

Pro Tips

  • Search works on source titles and content
  • Combine search with type filters for precise results
  • Save frequently used searches as views
  • Search is case-insensitive
