Common Issues

Export Not Working

Issue: Export button doesn't work or export fails

Solutions:

  1. Make sure you're signed in
  2. Check if you've reached your export limit
  3. Refresh the NotebookLM page
  4. Try signing out and signing back in
  5. Check browser console for error messages

Authentication Issues

Issue: Can't sign in or sign in fails

Solutions:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Clear browser cache and cookies
  3. Disable other extensions temporarily
  4. Try in an incognito window
  5. Check if third-party cookies are blocked

Export Limit Reached

Issue: "Export limit reached" message

Solutions:

  1. Upgrade to a higher tier for more exports
  2. Wait until next month for limit reset (Basic/Lite tiers)
  3. Purchase prepaid credits to continue using features
  4. Contact support if you believe there's an error

Email Verification Issues

Issue: Can't sign in after creating account with email/password

Solutions:

  1. Check your email inbox for the verification email
  2. Check your spam/junk folder - verification emails sometimes go there
  3. Click the verification link in the email
  4. Verification links expire after 3 days - request a new one if needed
  5. Make sure you're using the same email address you signed up with
  6. Try signing in again after verifying your email

Download Not Starting

Issue: Export completes but file doesn't download

Solutions:

  1. Check your browser's download settings
  2. Check if downloads are blocked
  3. Look in your Downloads folder
  4. Check browser console for errors
  5. Try a different export format
