Message Checkboxes (Curated Export)

Select specific messages for curated copying and exporting.

What It Does

Message checkboxes appear next to each AI response in your NotebookLM chat. They allow you to select specific messages to copy or export, rather than exporting the entire conversation.

How to Use

  1. Hover over any AI message to see the checkbox icon
  2. Click the checkbox to select that message
  3. Select multiple messages across the conversation
  4. Click the Copy or Export button
  5. Only selected messages will be included

Use Cases

  • Key Insights - Export only the most important findings
  • Specific Topics - Select messages about a particular topic
  • Clean Exports - Exclude trial-and-error or irrelevant messages
  • Highlights - Create a highlights reel from a long conversation

Pro Tips

  • Checkboxes only appear on AI responses, not user messages
  • Selected messages are highlighted for easy identification
  • You can deselect messages by clicking the checkbox again
  • Selection persists until you refresh the page
