Chat Export Button

Export your NotebookLM conversations to various formats for archiving and sharing.

What It Does

The Chat Export button appears in the chat header with a dropdown menu. It exports your conversation to PDF, Markdown, or Text format.

How to Use

  1. Click the "Export" button in the chat header
  2. Choose your preferred format from the dropdown
  3. Select whether to export all messages or only selected ones
  4. Wait for the export to complete
  5. The file will download automatically

Export Formats

  • PDF - Professional format, great for sharing and printing
  • Markdown - Preserves formatting, perfect for documentation
  • Text - Plain text, universal compatibility

Curated Export

Use message checkboxes to export only specific parts of your conversation:

  1. Click checkboxes next to messages you want to export
  2. Click the Export button
  3. Choose "Export Selected Messages"
  4. Only checked messages will be included
