One command. No key to generate, nothing to paste but a URL.

## Add Kortex to Claude Code

Your browser opens a Kortex consent page. Sign in, choose what to allow, and you are connected.

Nothing runs on a Kortex server. The call is handed to the Chrome extension on your own machine, which asks Gemini Notebook with your existing Google session — which is why Chrome has to be open, and why Kortex never sees your Google password.

## Try it

Keep Chrome open with the Kortex extension signed in, then ask your assistant:

- _"List my Gemini notebooks."_
- _"What's in my 'Market Research' notebook?"_
- _"Ask my 'Product Docs' notebook what our refund window is, and cite the sources."_

To see what else it can do, ask _"what can you do with my notebooks?"_ — Kortex ships a guide per area that your assistant can read.

**The first call of a session can take up to 30 seconds.** Chrome puts idle extensions to sleep, so Kortex has to wake up before it can answer. Every call after that is fast. If it says Kortex is not connected, see [Troubleshooting](/docs/mcp-troubleshooting).
